I think visualization form of Law of attraction is very essential for personal development so i would like to recommend you for a great audio series of Law of attraction called optimindzation created by Stephen Pierce a big internet marketer. This is an audio series that you listen to that sends messages to the mind through a type of meditation to give you energy or relax you depending on the one you listen to. It helps you to visualize and become creative so you can use the law of attraction in your favour.
You seem to have found parts of the puzzle on how the Law of Attraction as outlines in the movie The Secret interact with each other.

Javier, first of all I commend you in reaching out for advice. Based on what you are saying I believe that I know what is going on. I have seen it many times in some of my clients. What you are doing is called a merger wish and it comes about as a result of 'emotional shadows'. I realize that sounds cryptic but there is just so much involved in explaining how it works. I recently wrote a book about it called "The Spiral of Influence" which you can download the first three chapters of for free on my site

Basically put, there are parts of our character which do not develop because of certain things which happen to us in our life. These parts of our character go into hiding and only come out during times when we are not afraid to show them. That is what is happening when you are drinking. The parts that go into hiding are the emotional shadows, just like light not shining somewhere causes a shadow, the parts of ourselves which we deem less valuable are hidden and do not have the chance to mature and grow like the rest of us.
